Session Description:

Published in 1974, Aiiieeeee!, the first major anthology of Asian American writing, has been revered as a foundational work of Asian American culture and criticized for its masculinist and nationalist perspective. This roundtable, which includes one of the anthology’s editors, debates the continuing legacy of Aiiieeeee!, examining masculinity and feminism, audience, nationalism, and diaspora.
