Session Description:

This roundtable will bring together scholars from various stages in their careers to reflect on current research on the topic of sovereignty in seventeenth- and eighteenth-century France. We hope to extend the discussion beyond the figure of the sovereign to include the theorization of decision, the intersection of personal sovereignty and state sovereignty, etc.
