Session Description:

Participants consider Jane Austen in emerging contexts, including Gothic literature, book publishing, Romantic poets, Harry Potter, pop cultural Austens, children's literature, and digital environments. Discussion will consider new classroom challenges, particularly in single-author courses, where students may misperceive her circumstances and the scope of her writings.
