Session Description:

This panel unites interdisciplinary expertise in indigenous texts and discourses of the Americas, engaging questions of the appropriation of this cultural production by local and national governments, and explores how indigenous narratives assert their own aesthetic ideals while in dialogue with Western literary practices.
