Our title applies both to the topics to be addressed by each speaker and to the generational range of points of view our speakers represent. Speakers will address the elimination of the female in Macbeth; Monique, the protagonist of the title story of Beauvoir’s 1967 La femme rompue; conceptions of girlhood found in Beauvoir’s The Second Sex; and the perception of old age in La vieillesse.
